The Board and Members of Exeter Golf Club wish to convey their sincere condolences to Thelma, Jason and Naomi, their families and friends on the passing of Barry. \
Barry joined Exeter Golf Club in 1993. He has supported the club as President 2003 and 2004, captain in 2007 and 2008, and a Board member for many years.
Barry served Vice President of the Exeter Veterans and was a long standing Patron of Exeter Golf Club.
As recognition of Barry’s service to the Club, he was awarded Life Membership on August 27, 2011.
Barry enjoyed his golf with the Exeter Veterans and Saturday competitions.
He was a loyal supporter and contributor to our Club, including helping with working bees on the course, attending the bar, supporting, securing sponsorship and sponsoring the Patron’s Day event with his long time friend and co-patron, Dick Hilder.
Barry will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by our members and the golfing fraternity across the North of the State.
A Celebration of Life for Barry will be held on July 22nd, 2026 at 2.00 pm at the Exeter Golf Club.
